When two of Portland's most-loved brewers partner together on a new brewery, you know it's going to be huge. And that's exactly what happened when Van Havig, formerly of Rock Bottom Brewing and Ben Love, formerly with Hopworks Urban Brewery and Pelican Brewery, got together.

With a goal of making only one "standard" beer -- their IPA -- and focusing all their efforts on seasonal and one-offs, Gigantic might be creating a new template for how a craft brewery is run.

In the meantime, they're having fun and trying to brew enough beer to keep thirsty fans happy.
