Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser has started a movement in which all baseball fans should be thrilled about- declaring Major League Baseball’s Opening Day a national holiday (i.e. another paid day off of work).
The “Pitch”: “We think America’s national pastime deserves a national holiday. That’s why we’re petitioning the White House to make it one. So help us reach our goal of 100,000 signatures in 30 days.” – Budwesier.com
The petition officially launched on the 25th of February and in those short three days has already garnered over 40,000 signatures and is growing by the minute. America really does love its baseball.
In support of the act are some of the MLB’s biggest legends. Those legends include Ozzie Smith, Howard Johnson, Eric Byrnes, and Sean Casey.
