Position Overview:

 

The Delivery Driver works under the direction of the Delivery Manager and is responsible for delivering and merchandising orders for both on and off premises accounts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: the delivery of products to retailers, collection of all payments, picking up and returning pallets; rotating products; communicating with supervisors, sales reps and merchandising resources; maintaining sales and merchandising standards; maintain vehicle inspection reports.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

* Deliver and merchandise orders for Off- and/or On-Premise accounts.

* Timely collection of all due money.

* Pick up and return all Maletis empty pallets and cooperage during the normal scope of the business day.

* Maintain superior customer service with all accounts assigned to deliver.

* Maintain proper rotation of products to insure product quality as per the company policy (shelf, display, back stock, and any other storage areas).

* Maintain proper communication with supervisors and sales representatives to market changes, problems, opportunities, out of stocks and competitive activity.

* Maintain proper communication with merchandising resources that support his or her delivery efforts.

* Maintain all sales and merchandising standards as communicated by management.

* Maintain company vehicle inspection reports as required, and report any problems with vehicle daily.

* Maintain a clean and safe environment in the cab of the company vehicle.

* Correct all invoices that are over or short payment in a timely manner.

Working Conditions:

 

This job operates in an indoor and outdoor environment. This role routinely uses handheld computers, printers, GPS systems, box knives, hand trucks, pallet jacks and liftgates.

This is a full-time position. Work schedule varies based on type of route and seasonality.

 

Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):

 

* Substantial and repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

* Lifting or raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

* Exerting up to 160 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly, to move objects.

* Having visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

* Valid Oregon driver’s license and an excellent driving. (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed).

* Must have a CDL permit or Class A or B CDL.

* Working knowledge of handheld hardware.

* Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

* Ability to lift up to 160 lbs. of product repetitively.

* Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis .

* Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor and the ability to exercise sound judgment.

* Excellent customer service and time management skills.

* Familiarity with the beverage distribution industry.

Position Overview:

 

The Sales Professional is responsible for the sales and distribution of the Maletis Beverage portfolio in a designated group of retail accounts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sales and distribution of all products, maintaining a regular call frequency, maintaining proper rotation of products, conveying new items and pricing and communicating with retail partners, the District Sales Manager, Delivery, Routing and Merchandising departments.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

 

  • Sales and distribution of all products in designated accounts.
  • Regular call frequency to assigned retail accounts.
  • Sell, merchandise, monitor price and manage shelf space and tap handles.
  • Maintain proper rotation of all products in assigned accounts per Maletis Beverage Rotation Standards.
  • Responsible for daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, seasonality, competitive activity and special promotional activities.
  • Convey all new items and monthly pricing programs to designated accounts (where applicable).
  • Utilize proper point of sale to support all brands and packages.
  • Merchandise all product displays for maximum product exposure.
  • Meet or exceed all designated Pay-For-Performance goals and objectives.
  • Meet or exceed all distribution and volume targets as mutually agreed on with District Manager.
  • Maintain daily communication with District Sales Manager.
  • Maintain communication, as needed, with Delivery, Routing and Merchandising.
  • Complete all survey requests.
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable department to resolve credit issues, including collecting past due balances.
  • Represent Maletis Beverage in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for any other tasks deemed necessary by District Sales Manager.

Supervision Received:

 

This position will receive direction, supervision and regular evaluations from the District Sales Manager.

  • Having close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.

 

Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs. as well as hang merchandise and be able to fulfill other physical requirements including: Repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs overhead), bending, pulling/pushing (Push/pull up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler).

Able to understand and read invoices, load sheets, job orders, installation instructions and calculate simple math functions.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work hours as needed to fulfill all job responsibilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Ability to analyze and present information.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
